All of our programs are TEKS aligned and cover many areas. We try to focus on a STEAM curriculum that youth will enjoy and remember! The curriculum includes education, games, exploration, and discovery while encouraging values such as teamwork and trust, problem-solving, stewardship, and the core routines of outdoor education and nature connection.

Our educational programs will be available on either Saturday or Sunday. 

OUR PROGRAMS

Geology and the Texas Hill Country

Youth will discover the geology of the Texas Hill Country. Through examination, exploration, and investigation, youth will learn how to identify rocks and formations as well as understand how we have dinosaur footprints in our limestone! 

Geography and the Texas Hill Country

Youth will discover the rich history and geography of the Texas Hill Country. With a focus on Pioneers and Native Americans, youth will learn about history, culture, and projectile points. With trails, activities, and more, youth will discover the heart of the hill country.

Digging up Dinosaurs

Youth will follow in the footsteps of prehistoric giants as we explore the dinosaur trackways and footprints left from visitors long ago. They will learn about the types of Texas Dinosaurs, dinosaur habitats, and more!

Tracking
Texas Wildlife 

Finding Fossils

Youth will learn about the environmental conditions of the Texas Hill Country that helped form the amazing fossil bed and common fossils in the area. This program includes a fossil mold activity, and students will learn to identify common fossils during a fossil dig on our "Fossil Ridge."

What to Expect

Youth will explore the property looking for and learning to identify the tracks, scat, and signs of common native Texas wildlife. Youth will make track molds, complete other tracking activities, and play tracking games.

The group programs have been modified for larger groups. If you would like to focus on a certain area of study, please email for more information. All programs are 2 1/2 hours and include educational booklets.
